Anxiety

Anxiety is a fear of the unknown and 'what could happen?' that can be felt both mentally and within the body and often can present with sweating, tenseness and ultimitely panic attacks. It is extremely common among many of us, whether it's what we may refer to as rational, which is when we have a job interview or a driving test of perhaps a first date. But there is also generalised anxiety which may have it's roots within. It could be that you feel anxiety on a frequent basis that you may not exactly have anything to link to, causing you to feel threatened, pressured, confused, irritated, and can even lead to prevention of living your life in that you may stop going places or become convinced that bad things will happen to you or the ones you love with nothing at all to merit that to.

This is all linked to the past, where maybe there is trauma or negative event's that have occurred that get triggered in present day, sometimes convincing us that we will be in danger again. Our emotional brain tell us this is the case and it prevail's over the objective mode of the brain. We are not always aware of where our anxiety originates from, and this can indeed be scary and stressful, impacting our work, relationships and our overall well being on a daily basis.
