Do I need counselling?
The big question!
So, there are many different reasons as to why you may be seeking counselling. Perhaps it feels that anxiety is crippling you. Maybe you're experiencing this on a daily basis and you want to understand why it is there and how to live without it. Or maybe you have low self worth, wondering how the world sees you, attacking yourself, unable to see your worth and goodness and feeling lost in the world. Maybe you feel like you don't know who you are, that you lack confidence in yourself leaving you feeling stuck. These reasons could make your relationships difficult, leaving you to feel unappreciated, stuck or feeling like you need reassurance. You may just think to yourself..."I just want to be okay."
Or maybe you're just feeling a little fed up with life and wish to vent a little! This a perfectly good enough reason to come to counselling. It doesn't always have to be deeply rooted causes.

Regardless, any reason is a good enough reason to seek counselling. Reason's can even be something of which you may see as a 'silly' or not important enough' or even worth talking about.
At the end of the day, if you're feeling something then you are feeling it. In my opinion there is no normal, abnormal, right, wrong, rational and irrational way to feel. These are subjective to to how you're feeling and however you feel is absolutely okay. A feeling is a feeling, an emotion is an emotion, and that is always a fact. Processing these thoughts, feelings and emotions as well as gaining insight is what I offer you in the safe, open, non judgemental and uncritical space.

As a counsellor, I believe that you as the client have the capacity to change, grow and to evolve which will lead to a happy change in your life.
You deserve the chance to talk to someone and to be heard.
And, final thought: it is never a bad time to start your journey!
